This is on dieal and dual cycle only. Diesel engine works on high compression ratio and constant pressure heat addition. In dual cycle the heat addition is initially at constant volume but later at constant pressure. Constant pressure heat addition means diesel is burning slowly and volume is expanding at the same rate to keep the pressure constant.
